Aleatoric Mountain Music

Acrylic on canvas

40" x 30"

Aleatoric music, from the Latin word alea, meaning “dice,” is music in which some element of the composition is left to chance.

The mountains of Colorado are an older mountain range which was formed 300 million years ago, then eroded away. Its rocks were reformed into the Rocky Mountains which took shape during an intense period of plate tectonic activity that resulted in the ruggedness of the landscape—quite by chance.

Everything in the Universe is returning to its most beautiful and perfect state.
